It has been quite awhile! At this point it doesn't really matter how often I post because, ya know, I don't have any subscribers. If you enjoy what you read, feel free to follow me! Anyway, I thought I would give an update on my SmashBook! This page is about trusting God. Since I have made it, I have found so many more passages to include, but haven't.... I might be a little bit of a procrastinator.
This was the first (and so far, the only) page that I have used a large pocket for, and I must say that it is kind of awesome! This page includes some great scripture, including Ephesians 1:11, Proverbs 31:25, 1 Corinthians 7:31, Matthew 6:34, 2 Corinthians 4:17-18, and much much more (if you were to look in the pocket). I am not really sure what else to say about this page.... so let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks Again!

You could call it an experiment....
I have been sewing... a lot..... and I have realized that I might be a little bit interested in clothing design. So I did an experiment. I drew a couple outfits and I think they turned out pretty nice, but I would like your opinion! So look at the pictures, and comment what you think!
I think the second pic looks MUCH better than the first; it looks more realistic (to me). Again, though, I would like YOUR opinions! It would be much appreciated :)

BEA-utiful Smashbook Update
This was the third page that I completed in my Smash Book. Obviously, the whole theme of is true beauty. While it seems really cheesy, it is so important to know what God's definition of beauty is. Society is so focused on the clothes you wear, how much fat you have, how much make-up you put on, and fancy hairstyles. You don't want to look like a slob, but outer beauty should not be where your focus is. You can look as good as you want, but if your heart isn't beautiful, you might as well be the ugliest person in the world. Beauty is that of a gentle and quiet spirit (1 Peter 3:3-4). When making yourself beautiful on the outside, remember, Modest is Hottest! I just love that quote! There is another quote by Edith Head that says, "'A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman and loose enough to prove you're a lady." Women are meant to look like women, that is how we were made, but we must remain ladies while we are dressing like women (if that makes any sense at all).
So before you look into the mirror to see if you look good, look into your heart. Once your heart looks good, you will most definitely look beautiful from the outside.
Ladies, you are all beautiful. Please remember this.

Crafty Crafting
My oh my, have I been doing A LOT of crafting lately. I have been working on some $5 dollar Walmart shoes, with a picture/tutorial to come. I also bought a pack of men's white v-necks from Walmart and have been fixin' them up a bit to be a little more girl-y. I sewed a pair of bell-bottoms into skinny jeans, and I LOVE them. Yesterday I bought four knit fabrics to sew into infinity scarves. That material is super hard to work with, though, so I will be taking my time with them. I will be making some head bands and boot socks with the leftover pieces, and that will be fun! I am not gonna waste any bit of that fabric :)
There might be pictures of these, but maybe not. If you want to see a picture, let me know! I will hopefully be posting more about my Smash book soon. Keep checking in for more!

Scripture Smashbook Update 2!
What is up blogger world? Or at least whoever the one person is that will read this! I thought I would be post another picture and explanation from my smash book! I really haven't been working on it that much, for I have been EXTREMELY busy. I think I have something planned every single day this week, and most of it is work. Blah. So all my extra time is going to sleep. I have some pictures stored up, though, so I can occasionally post one of those to keep things moving.
I haven't thought of anything to put on the other page, but I finished this side, and I really like how it turned out. The main concept of this page is NO YOLO. While you should make the most out of each day, you should be making sure that what your doing isn't something that will be worthless. What is the point of living life on this earth if none of it will matter after you die? Storing up the things that will matter in heaven is MUCHO important. So, instead of seizing the day, seize the Kingdom.

DIY Natural Lamp Shade
I recently got a new room, and I have been working to redesign it. I had a really cool lamp, but didn't like the shade. I found an idea on Pinterest (just like every other creative idea, right?) to wrap twine around a circular lamp shade. It is super cheap, especially if you already have the lamp.
This took me probably an hour all together to finish. All I needed was the lamp, scissors, and one small roll of twine, which was less than $2. I tied a loop of twine around the shade and just started wrapping it.
Hopefully there will be more posts to come about my room! I have all the furniture set up, but still have a lot of hanging and decorating to do. Wish me luck as I finish it up!
Thanks for reading :)

Scripture Smashbook Update Eins!
I am kind of a slow worker when it comes to this whole Smash book thing. Don't get me wrong, I really love working on it, but I have to wait until I am in the right, creative mood. Once I get going, it still takes me a couple hours until I call a page done. Like, let's stick a fork in it type done. Don't get me started on how long it takes to work up the motivation to post about my Smash book! But today I finished school early, so after I aimlessly walked around the house, I thought, "What better time to give an update on my Smash book?" So here I am!
Depending on how much I can write about a single page of my Smash book, I will start with doing one page picture and one post at a time. If I get many followers on this little blog (which I don't think is very likely) I might post more pictures at once, that way you don't have to listen (or would it be read about?) me ramble on and on and on...... And this is what you have been waiting for! Here is one of the first pages in my Smash book:
This was the first page I decorated, and it might be my favorite. I based it all off of 2 Corinthians 1:3-7. I was going to put all of that passage on the right page, but my hand cramped up and I couldn't write any more, so I stoped after verse 4. I wanted to fill my Smash book with scripture that is more personal, so hopefully I can do a good job of explaining to all of you how this page is really personal. FYI: the birds on the left page are completely random, they have no meaning whatsoever.
This past summer, I went to a sweet little place called Camp Barnabas for the second time. It is a camp for special needs kids and adults. They have sessions for the blind, deaf, those with chronic illnesses, physical disabilities, and developmental disabilities. I was a counselor for a young lady with a developmental disability. She was GREAT. She was smiley all week and was filled with joy. I almost wasn't able to go, though, because I was sick the week before. I continued to not feel the greatest throughout the week also, so finding this passage while I was at camp was perfect. So often I rely on physical things to comfort me, like where I am, how I am feeling, and who is with me. Reading this helped me to realize that the Lord is the one and only source of comfort. You will NOT find real comfort until you find Jesus. Just knowing that no matter how sick I was the Lord would bring me comfort if I looked for it in Him was, well, comforting.
Thanks for reading, if you actually did read any of this. If you didn't, thanks for looking at the picture! I will try to most more soon! Please leave any comments you have so I can improve the blog! More pictures? Can do! More writing? We'll see how motivated I am! Let me know what you want to see and read here!
